Malcolm, this one simply passed by me...I did not know. I'm sad. This was yes, one of my fave songs. Made me feel 'okay' always. Great blog note on your blog there. And glad everyone is getting back to norm...after the holidaze.

I will always remember him fondly! I hope Claire is doing better by now!Guys always seem to get into it after they have exhausted themselves physically! I remember the times with my own and my boys raring to go and my baby girl not up to par! sam

It's very tough to get up from those deep slumbers. When the radio has to wake me up, it's going to take a bit for me to wake up...It's ashame about Gerry Rafferty.

I just went back on YouTube to listen to "Baker Street"....
to remind myself of just how good this song was, music wise and lyric wise.....there are defining songs for each decade, and this was surely one for the 70's..

I am finding it difficult tosettledown and do exactly as I please after
all these weeks of doing exactly as I please. LOL........Gotta think on the positives of being older. But of course I do remember the 70's like it was yesterday and music was my way to relax and survive.

I hope Claire is feeling a bit better today Malcolm. I remember that feeling after having to back to school after two weeks of laziness and fun. Our school holidays aren't as long as yours, which is one of many reasons I wanted to go to school in the UK! A very dear friend from Scotland offered to let me live with him my seventeenth year so I could go to school in Glasgow, but my parents wouldn't allow it!...
I still haven't forgiven them for it!...
I'm glad Christian has had such fun.

I think the deep sleep is affecting more than you Malcolm, but wait until you get when on the computer. I shall have to get a neck brace.

I confess I am having trouble with getting up early again after the Christmas break... I could happily stay in bed much longer than I am allowed

Back to the routine can be comforting in its own way...
I hated to learn that Gerry Rafferty had passed. I love "Baker Street" and danced to cover bands playing it in my single-again days when the two youngest had a weekend at their dad's. Just thinking about the song puts me in a dark bar full of people hoping to find one of those "plenty of fish in the sea" we'd been told were out there.
