Wow! What a monster. It's a wonder anyone in the household survived, let alone remained cheerful even for short periods.

It's amazing how much pain life can throw at us at times...
and yet we still continue to exist.
Getting away from the madness, even for a few moments, is a great blessing.

Powerful writing, Tzippy..
It is amazing the ways we learn to cope, to even find joy and peace in the midst of raging, tragic turbulence. With simple things, as you say...Timeless wisdom for all who are suffering.

A wonderful description of a good shower. I never knew it affected anyone else this way. Sorry you had to spend your teenage years with a viscious crazy man who injured your family with his dysfunction. I am glad you found ways to get away from him.

What a wonderful strong soul you are Tzyppy... and how well you describe those terribly sad things. It is an inspiration to find out through you that one can rise over that kind of abuse. You truly should publish a book, it would help so many. I hope the name was Rochelle at the end... It is such a beautiful name. xoxoxo

Is this idiot 'father' of yours out of his mind? Yes, he is...He wants to name his baby girl
Yenta??? I don't have to tell
you what 'Yenta' means in Yiddish, but to explain it to the others, a Yenta is a gossipy woman who keeps sticking her nose in other people's affairs that are none of her business...
