You know, I haven't wanted to travel abroad since my passport, cards, money, etc., was stolen in Spain and I had to depend on friend and his credit card to front for me for the last two weeks we were there.

I love the adventuring of both but I would be a nervous wreck! You are brave, brave, brave! I would have been a basket case if all that happened to my son/! But what the heck, he is picking his destinations likewise your Mom; my kid is going to Afghanistan is a few days and I am fit to be tied because I can do nothing about it! sammy

Good for your adventurous Mom! She strikes me as the kind of lady who isn't easily fazed!
And it'll be interesting to see how that situation develops. Let's hope this is a breakthrough for true democracy, and not a beginning for the 'other thing'...

well we know where beautiful son got his genes. OMG.
Wiley and I have made a pact that South American countries are out of bounds for us and I can't believe that Mother would go to Tunisia ....I wouldn't go to any of those places ...not now. I was going to Israel years ago .....but that is another story and like so many from those years, best forgotten.
