I Got Offered the Permanent Position

Now it has to make it's way through the rest of the red tape and I have a new contract offered to me.  There are lots of benefits such as 2 personal leave days per month along with 1 sick day per month.  I also get to use the gym and swimming pool at the university. Water therapy here I come.  I want to lose at least 30 more pounds before the WEDDING.

August 6 is the big day for Blake and Yvette.  They are so excited.  Blake has a combined family get together planned for everyone's imput and then he and Yvette will tell us what their plans are.  He wants me and Jim to help with Honeymoon expenses since he and Yvette are paying for most of the wedding expenses.  When I talked with Jim, he was good to go but had plans we would go on the same cruise with them along with the rest of our groupLOL.  I told him that I didn't think so.  He was always so romanticLOLROTF!!!!  I mean, really, honeymooning with your mother and father and their friends.

I have also found out that Carnival Cruises hire nurses to work for a week at a time to cover for their regular employee time off.  They pay for the transportation to and from the ports of departure.  I would only have to work during the day and then off for the rest of the time.  When I get some personal leave time saved, I'm going to check into it.  I could go for a free cruise several times a years especially during the winter months.

I am so excited about my job.  The hours are so perfect for me and the people I work with are GREAT.  I am also going to learn how to speak spanish and hopefully understand it too.  We have 6 translators that work with us.  We also go out to the migrant worker farms and give medical checks from April to October. I'm also going to have a chance to teach diabetic classes and birthing classes for the hispanic population we serve.

My Breathing for Relaxation and Healing classes are going good. I think I will take a two week break between each 4 week session just so I don't push my self too much.  I am really proud of myself and the stamina I have been able to maintain and work.  I had to come home early today because I have laryngitis and a cough and I needed to rest.

Many Blessings to All
