Re: i guess we also must remember that prejudice is fear
Yes, I think so Shams-i-Heartsong, in many cases fear does birth hatred and prejudice. If only people could reach out to what is unknown to them.

Re:
Well, I can't really agree with your first sentence, Utah, but I do agree that disliking Obama's policies does not a racist make; sobeit for disliking Israeli policies - does not spell anti-semitism. Thank you for reading/commenting.

I am opposed to racism in any form and your close is the best way to be for me! Hate never solves a thing, it only serves to stoke the proverbial fire for me! sam

If you want to read some truly shocking stuff about racism,
read chapter one (at least) of Bradley's new book, Imperial Cruise. I was stunned! I thought the
Aryanism nonsense started pretty much with Hitler. - Bob

Everyone has a touch of the bigot in them, just as everyone has their own addictions. Some folks mistake the dislike of policy for racism, while others truly understand that we are all Gods children, like it or not.

Well we are all meant to live with each other somehow but I do agree with
Shams-i-Heartsong that it is all about fear.

Re:
So true, Lionreign, they do indeed. Those who support them are often manipulated into believing it's not racism, simply "wisdom" or a higher intellect seeing things they can't. I feel sorry for and frustrated with such thinking/non-thinking; must be low self-esteem in many cases yet it doesn't have to be...sigh...Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment.

Well said!! I see this so often, people hiding racism behind rhetoric and intellectualism are just as bigoted as those who chant abuse, but they make it seem more acceptable to those who aren't watching carefully
