Well Raye I suppose it is all about the quality of life people just waste time some get ill and have no chance. Of course one cannot judge what other people feel, especially as you have your children, but if one becomes too depressed one doesn't want to carry on. I hope you can take advice from the specialist and remember there are a lot who would love fifteen years of life and who knows by then or even before there could quite well be terrific progress. Bless you,

This is a very difficult situation! I suffer from asthma and I feel your plight! I will pray for and ask the Lord to direct you in the way you should go! He is marvelous and I would rely heavily on Him, too! sam

Dearest Raye
How concerning to read you post but thank you for sharing these details. I wondered is it chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). A family friend of mine has this condition and it was hereditary claiming other family members. She had to stop work and was very unwell then was awaiting a lung transplant but then got even sicker, and was on death's door, then a lung was found. And she is doing well now. She is a bit older but she has come through the transplant and is doing well. Please consider all possibilities.

Raye, oh my goodness...I just read this...I do hope you can manage this
"cold" and that it doesn't become more serious...I hope you can get the lung transplants when the time is right, be it sooner or be it later...my prayers are with you. Take it easy now and remember that you're just not feeling the best at the moment and that always feels depressing...don't give into it!

Re: Take a second medical opinion if you want,...
No, not ignoring him, Dear Ash, just hoping the transplant center I choose will be able to help me delay the inevitable, which they try to do as a matter of course - organ shortage, life altering aspects in regards to anti-rejection medication regiments being the reasons. When I said defy him, I meant defying my dire situation - I didn't come home and give up or sink into depression - I've had my moments, believe me, but prayer, faith and love pull me through.
Thank you, my friend.
