Yes, particularly ones first love. You never forget it, a kind of madness, a delirious, dreamlike delight.

Wiley just looked rather stunned as I left my computer and went over and
planted a kiss on his dear lips. How could I not having just read this wonderful poem, one of your best I feel.
Yes it takes a poet to reach the essence of what love is every word here is true for before Wiley I never knew true love.

I can't imagine a world without love, or trying to explain it to one from a world without love.

Oh yes, love is one of those things that we must experience in order to understand what it truly is...

you have triggered very strong memories with this poem
of many moments in time that I stopped thinking about. Of a time in my life when I used to think I was in love :) on the clouds, etc etc

Don't know why this one affected me, but I had to get my crying towel out. Perhaps the memory of things past and those moments I still cherish. Or rekindling the notion that to have loved is the public secret and the key to all other experiences.

Sinome
So perfectly done. We can love many directions all from the same wonderful love but skewed to fit the object of our love, My Lord I love with exaggerated love, My dear George with all you talk of here and my children with all that but each is different way due to the needs of the receiver and the giver. Love is the major need of humanity, even if one does not find the one intended love of your life as a partner which is so beautiful as is your poem.

WEll would we want it explained Simone I think not a cynic might say it is like a a flower that blooms and dies and of course very often that is true. Sometimes it develops into something wonderful, this is what everyone probably desires. Lovely poem anyway.
