Go to Malcolm's midwife: Words from the heart

Can't stand that "I'm a proper Christian" approach, implying that all the rest of us haven't quite got there yet. Still, your nephew is young. He has plenty of maturing to do yet!

we are all on an equal and level playing field when it comes to God...
The size of church or amount of actice involvement have nothing to do with it..

..He loves us all, equally.

God is the one we must please Malcolm, and He knows your heart, and life, and love for Him; so don't worry.

Oh Malcom I am so sorry about your nephew. That is not Christian behavior. Only God is superior one to another. From your blogs you appear to live a good Christian life, even if yes or no; no other person has a right to judge you and lord it over you because they feel superior, just pray for your nephew. I am so sorry this is happening. Be blessed.

I think it is not religion that separates people in this case, it seems more like pride to me ( I seem to recall that was a sin...)

A true foundation in religion will bring families closer and those who think they are above will be sadly mistaken in the end! I am with you I like quiet faith that draws folks in! sam

Malcolm
You're a good son to visit your mum and dad, mine are all far away. We have the same take on our 'spirituality' we are both rather Chrisitians or believers on our own.Have a good week my friend.

Sad it is when people use religion to create divisons.

Don't worry Malcolm a lot of people feel they are superior to me because I have a countryfied accent, I really hate it when I hear myself on a recording. I don't know why anyone should feel superior to you. Perhaps you are a bit sensitive and pick up vibes it might even be little strands of jealousy. Perhaps we should all try and be superior to someone.

Just read your last two posts - it is unfortunate that you were so looking forward to your nephew's visit, then to be disturbed by his attitude. I'm with Pat_B, in that people who think they are superior get my back up; and with Kabu for the mom's loving to have their boys around!

Give your lovely Mother lots of cuddles and enjoy the chats. We Mum's
do love our boys so no matter how happy and proud we are to see them with their own loving family, and we have let go...it is always wonderful to see them and talk with them.

A converted barn sounds so quaint and cosy. I have always loved barns and I have seen some converted to living space. Very special. Too bad that a feeling of superiority is what you perceive from your nephews. It makes me wonder if, deep down, superiority is really what they feel or if it is perhaps a misreading of their demeanor. Whatever it is, I know it is real to you and hurtful.

I hope you have a nice visit with your mother and that the weather
stays lovely. Those breaks from the norm seem to give a nudge to the writers's wheel and get it moving again if it's ground to a stop. I think I'm a bit overly sensitive to those who act superior for any reason. They can get me ready to fight in two seconds. I have to watch that.
