I would put the radio on when I first got up. Then, it was on most of the time from when I got home from school to when I went to bed. Unless, I was watching TV. Have always found inspiration in music.

GypsyButterfly, I grew up with music a large part of my life, too....
This was back in the late 50's and sixties, right into the present...I used to do my homework and even study with the radio on...in high school I was in the band and orchestra....I remember when FM stations came in (now I really am dating myself)..

I used to always spend time in records stores, starting with the old Jenkins Music Company in downtown KC. Loved it. I no longer have a turntable.
