- Go to Yesterday was World Collector's Day...

Good question Straight, and I hope not because I would feel sad for them - actually when I was a young-un - near 6 years there was this horrific hurricane - historical...that landed on Galveston Island - Hurricane Carla and we had so much damage to our home. We fled to another city while it hit the town with tidal waves, flooding and etc. Now, in this cedar chest, my Mamma had collected my dolls and some of these dolls were my 'babies' - One was made in the likeness of me - even the stance and pout from a photo that my Aunt had acquired. The storm took this chest and we never found it. I believe to this day, I have trouble not 'pouting' at times when I think of my sweet baby dolls.

So, yes I do wonder how people will feel losing their possessions. I believe they will mourn and cry and I hope get on with it - again and again. Good question and Thanks for asking. Elyse

Collections of whatever one's interested in can be an interesting hobby, but giving a collection of something the same attention ( or anything close to it ) as one would give a child or other family member is waaay to the extreme !!

I think I might feel relief at a collection going up in smoke.
Collections can become a burden after a while.

I cannot fathom the loss of things destroying a soul as losing a child
surely does. My opinion. Thought inducing post.
