I love the voice--somehow self-confessing, where the poet meets her voice in the truth of experience--almost like a prayer that reliquishes all thoughts to arrive at this felling of Being, public and unobserved. The heart flutters nearing its source.

I must admit that I've never written beside the sea. When I am there, I am searching for seashells or building sandcastles or playing tag with waves. Maybe next time I go to that place of white sands and palm trees, or the place of pounding waters against the cliffs, maybe I will try writing. Or, maybe not.
