Great writing, especially; "after all, a dry river bed is still part of the river........" like lost love, still a part of our lives. Lovely thoughts you have even is sad.

Something about your languge I always find intriguing. It doesn't matter what you are writing about. But you always seem to paint a casnvass, a scene, and I feel am there--except, perhaps,when you write about your lost love (but that's probably because I'm just jealous).

this is an amazing poem, it reminds of a clip I just saw from the movie
'up' and it put tears in my eyes,it was the first ten minutes of the movie. not that your poem is the same, it is much more beautiful, but it is of memories past

I suppose what has been is still a sweet time Simone better than bitter feelings that so many have endured. At least you can say there are we flames that still glow in the same light.

Oh how I could feel that. Do you have a book published? Are you planning to do so? I would love to get a copy. I am just there feeling your pain, love, joy or sadness as it should be. That is not as is easily crafted as you make it appear. You are such a lovely poet.
