Re:
Elyse, Our fireworks go over our harbor bay, so I, too, will be watching from my porch - a lot better than joining the crowds elsewhere.

Reasons, I will be staying home and hoping fireworks won't blare to blaze. I am not a fan of fireworks for obvious reasons ---- Drought - FIREworks on timber and blaze and out of control and well...it does happen. I will be able to actually sit outside on my back porch and listen and 'see' some of the display as they do this over a lake near me. Ah, tourists...yes, the traffic blows me away but, it's good for the cities economy ~ Be safe - Elyse

So, you've no 4th of July work break until dark! Do people really go to a car wash on holidays?

Re:
Justi, enjoy the fireworks. Our towns DO seem to be similar. The parade here is something else! Anyone can be in it which explains why it's so long. We used to have a band playing patriotic tunes, but no more.

I thought for a moment we lived in the same little town. We don't have a parade but we have fireworks on the water. We are surrounded except for a very small chunk all around with water. The 4th is too cool to leave. Enjoy and be safe.
