Kabu, in the U.S., most folks are living on less at this time, thanks to inflation, jobs loss, higher taxes, etc.,.-not to mention, concern for the future. As you say union perks should go.

FSI, sure, close the P.O. on Saturdays, for instance. That could make a big difference in USPS expenditures.

Wiley, excellent suggestion. Many USPS workers are unionized, although joining is optional.

If it's like here in Canada they could do a layoff, kick the union out and make those workers live like the rest of us did without a union.
