I think being aware of the reality of it is what it means to remember it, people can pray or think about it and that is something.

This is not something that the world will forget sweet gentle heart
and the earthquake and Tsunami are still in people's prayers along with Chile and Haiti.
But your pictures are peaceful and gentle.

My daughter-in-law said the same thing today...the number 11 is associated with disasters, both man-made and nature's. She realizes that her country will not be the same when she returns to visit her parents. I don't think you have to worry about anyone forgetting either of these things, no more than we forget the Holocaust, or the terrible World Wars. What is important is that we not forget to remember moments of joy too. That what keeps us going.
