I think it is a feeling of guilt. I have at times looked at something and decided I did not want it so silly like I said I would think it over and call back. I have always done so, but there was no excuse in this case not to inform you that they had changed their mind. They may have had good reason but most likely chickened out or did not care.

I believe I posted a similar greivance...if not I fully  intended to.  People just don't seem to have the same mentality of yore.  Many are just disillusioned by the failure of many institutions & standards.  There is not much to rely upon anymore.
