Taps if one keeps looking at the same sequence over and over it remains quite vivid as you know and compels one sometimes to accept things against one's better judgment.

Your words are filled with meaning, and lost love.  Very well written, my friend.  But, I am curious about this woman of your past...you seem to write a lot about her.  Your words are filled with a yearning, but, also, sad loss

We used to carve initials into the aspen trees where only the ax-men could lop them off, like your tide did, which is what the ending of this one drew me to. A wonderful poem CC.
