That is so strange to be in a profession of working with students and not even like them. How could the students respond well to that?

I witnessed the same. If you think about it, a different response is necessary depending up the situation, the circumstance and the timing. In our personal lives we deal with many personalities and must respond according to the needs of the situation.
In addition, we must be aware of protocol, social cues and skills, cultural differences in order to act appropriately in situations to avoid disruption or distraction.

She sounds like she is a very unhappy person. It's just too bad, that other's are affected by that...especially, the students.

sometimes even a Saint can flip out with one to many......maybe that kid
needed a boundary and she was giving it....wasn't really mad just knew the kid needed yelling at.

WOW! She seemed to be a bit out of control! I have never witnessed in my career where yelling at a student garnered positive results! My goodness she seems like a volcano waiting to erupt! It was good that she treated you well but she does need to improve students relations! Perhaps her strategy was to scare the wits out of them so they would not be in her office again! sam
