Re:

Thanks Sam your prayer hit the spot. I agree with you tread carefully , but you can do nothing it is war and no one is rational.  Perhaps one has to act tough I really don't know. It is different sitting at home and thinking and maybe it was a little bit of tension release to his brother, you know what siblings are.

Re:

WELL I suppose that was half a tribute Jay. We always wore brown or grey at school.

Re:

Of course Marrise I must get one like it for gardening, I can always blame you if it does not work . Only joking

Sounds like a sweat shirt my sister painted for me. I actually wore it to her house once...under my coat, but back to the poem which I enjoyed with much glee.

Well, he could act like he liked it and wear it on family occaisions if he was inclined!  He could grow a flower garden and see if it would encourage the flowers to be bountiful.

That's a startling jumper... perhaps Grandad can use it to hide amid the flowers...

This entire poem caught me in a web of intrigue! I like gherkins too but a flower under a vest is most intriguing, too!

I wonder if the worry does get to me too! Christopher never goes into details, just says all is well. But when Mik came by to see me on Monday he told me about a checkpoint that Christopher was involved in! It seems that a pigeon was run over by one of the Humvees as they were pulling up! The Afghans were very distraught! It began to get a bit testy and that's when Christopher got out of his vehicle and went up to them to further discuss the issue of the dead bird. He told his brother that he couldn't believe they were coming unglued. It got to the point that Christopher told them that if any one of them made a move for their guns they would all die. DAMN! I just get so up tight when I hear this kind of thing. Christopher says their culture and religion is tough to figure out most of the time! I don't get getting up tight over an accidental killing of a pigeon, they are nothing but noisy and dirty! And 10,000 American soldiers are scheduled to leave by the end of December and I am so disappointed that he is not one of them.

I am glad the tickle has left your throat! How utterly annoying it must have been. sam
