Me too. On good days, I sit down with an idea and just look for
words; on not quite so good days, I sit down with a word or phrase or image and just start noodling to see if something develops; on rotten days I clean the basement or do a re-post.

its hard not to feel that literary deficiency, that empty vacuum between the ears, but thank goodness the vacuum usually fills back up fairly soon....
