Your poem conjures up many a sci-fi thriller for me. Your poem is also true of the many officials who hold sway over our lives who are programmed to merely follow orders.

I've met who had real hearts beating in their chest...and mechanoids like you've described here may not be in the all too distant future....and that's a scary thought....
