I think that sometimes, in your professional life, it is good to speak up right away. Otherwise, you may wait too long to impart a valuable idea. Would you agree?

Thanks for the response, Jimmy. I have to say that I have been this way since I was a child. My inablilty to think before I speak has not only been hurtful to others, it has also landed me in trouble on many occasions (like going to the principal's office).

Yeah . . . been there, done that. I think when I say something hurtful to someone that I later regret, the internal pain seems as deep to me as it does to the other person. I've learned the hard way over the years to really, really think before I open my mouth!

I am the opposite. I often think too much and when I speak it is too late in my personal life! Now in my professional life, I have often spoken to quickly out of excitement to get things done or assist, when I needed to keep my mouth closed and thoughts to myself!! Good post!!
