Onions, avocado and chocolate...
all bad for doggies, according to the experts I've read.
My Davy, when he was a pup, but a tall one, on his hind feet, stole a whole onion one night--it had been left on the counter. I found it on the floor the next morning, one tiny nip taken from it. Davy does not like onions.

I've always loved good onion rings. By good, I mean a large amount of onion inside of the crispy stuff. I don't care for those made with minced onions. I would never, never give a good onion ring to a doggie because I would want to eat it myself. LOL

Probably shouldn't let the dog eat anything that was just discarded by the side of the road, onion rings or otherwise. Better to give him the treats from your hand, as you did.
