Fear is my enemy as well. We are only human after all, and fear goes with that territory.

For myself, it's been calling a truce of sorts..
albeit, an uneasy one (I was diagnosed with a rare, progressively disabling disease that short of an organ transplant, ends in early death, so my fears are myriad) Forced to confront them and deal with them sanely (the other choice being to just curl up and give up on living) has meant accepting that fear is part and parcel of the process but also understanding that it doesn't have to dominate me. I try to stay as healthy and active as possible, have made contingency plans for my increasing limitations, have done death planning to make things easier on my family; something we all should do anyway regardless of health status; keep my hopes up, body in shape as much as I can for the possibility of a transplant and most of all, remember to cherish and enjoy each day, especially those when I'm feeling better than usual.
