Xeno-x - Re: all i can say is god be with you

I'm covered in that regard. I heard a lot of "May the Lord be with you" over the week of the funeral.

Kabu - Re: A most interesting read....I am hopeless and I apologise . . .

I am trying to lighten it up but this story has a very sad ending.

TAPS. - she is incapable of going even short periods without complaining

Whenever I am in her company it immediately takes on the appearance of the first part of the movie Driving Miss Daisy. She just blurts out prejudicial and hurtful opinions like a 10 year old and thinks nothing of it. Then she has the nerve to ask me why I don't visit her more often? There hasn't been a full bag of marbles for a few years now but it seems to be getting worse.

Troosha - How have you been?

I have been remiss in stopping in to say hi, all part of slowing down with age I suppose.

A most interesting read....I am hopeless and I apologise but you brought

me to a fit of the giggles. I can't wait for more of this story, there is nothing like in laws, nothing in the world!!

I must admit, this is the first time that I have really felt sorry for you and a measure of empathy.  The thought of spending time in the presence of my MIL always brought tears to my eyes and terror to my heart.

Where have I been? I didn’t realize you were back. Although a somber occasion I confess I had to chuckle a bit at your description of phase 1.

Katray2 - Re: Oh boy, the walls are closing in...;)

It will probably take 3 parts to tell this story, it was a brutal experience.
