Re: JimmyA
Actually, Wiley, my posts are always in 12pt type. I'm terribly sorry if you have difficulty reading them. Hopefully on your computer, it isn't somehow defaulting to 6pt. I would have difficulty reading that as well!

Thanks so much, Kabu. See? There are still some "real men" out there! Like I wrote, God bless my wife and her patience!

I'd read your post but 6pt type makes it impossible for me.......

What a wonderful real man you are. I loved this story and obviously
your wife appreciated your quick mind for solving a problem and having the nerve to go on and on with a boring subject ...Oh dear.
Wiley went down on his knee too the dear man; twice actually, when he asked me, and then again when he brought home the ring.

Re:
Thanks, Sam. It didn't start out that way, but I was desperate to "stall," and that was the first thing that came to my mind! Still pretty bizarre though!

Re:
Thanks, FSI, but actually, that wasn't our first date. In fact, we dated for nine months, and then were engaged for nine months ( and no, nine months did not translate into a pregnancy! )

Re:
Well, TAPS, since you already referred to him as your husband, I guess I know what the answer eventually was! Glad you enjoyed my little "tale."

It's neat reading about how the two of you met and that first date.

I really enjoyed reading that.
My husband was not quite so romantic. We were sitting in his car in front of my house at the end of a date. He said, "What would you say if I asked you to marry me?" and I responded, "You are going to have to ask to find out." LOL
