Hi Kabu .. I don't remember ever seeing a red squirrel but many years ago I saw a white squirrel on the White House grounds while escorting a class trip with my daughter. Thanks!

Glad you got the squirrels out of the bird's food!
They often do battle in my yard, lol. These are really great tips, BrightIrish; Thank you.
I've used conditioner as shaving cream before and it does work nicely. Will be trying the brownie and mint idea..soon, haha..

These are great ideas. Every year I have these little house ants I have to fight off. Since I make my own corn meal I have plenty to try on them...Here little ant, here little ant come and get your corn meal.

Naut .. Mine have been up since December and now I can smile because only the little birdies eat from them. Glad you liked the tips and thank you!
Also, they have a feeder with a cardinal tray but the cardinals here do not have a problem eating without the tray.

Sam .. I hope this worls with your ants. My daughter was raising bees and the ants created a problem for her then somewhere over the years I'd heard that ants would not cross a chalkline .. She tried and Mom's advice didn't work. Thank you!

Brightirish
I had a feeder that was spring loaded too and if a squirrel stepped on the bird bar it cut the food off because he was heavier than a bird. However, eventually by hanging upside down squirrel ate away the plastic until he got in at the food. LOL
Wonderful tips, especially about heating pizza on stove top and keeping bread moist in the MW

What great hints! I loved the one on the ants because I don't like them hanging out near the sidewalk, I know they are smothering the roots to my grass! sam
