Snakes don't bother me, but my husband is so spooked by them that he can't even look at a picture of one. They rather fascinate me.

I respect a poisonous snake and keep out of their way, but I love the
creatures and my pet python was a very sweet girl who grew long but not thick around and didn't see me as food.

In our neck of the woods, anything snakey that's small and green is not poisonous. In fact, the only poisonous ones we have here are rattlers, and there's no mistaking those for anything else! And I actually like snakes, but I know I'm in a minority...
