Re: JimmyA
Actually, Wiley, I believe my wife and I are on an even keel when it comes to "brains." I was just hoping not to 'compound' the woman's error by insisting that there were actually no gello beans in that jar! She seemed relatively upset over her gaffe as it was! No matter. It was all in good fun!

Re:
Thanks, Bright, and yes, "lost in translation" would be one way to put it!

Happy Easter to you and your wise wife! Great little story and another example of 'lost in translation.'

Re:
Thanks, Sam. I thought it was funny enough that the word ended with an "O," but starting with a "G," well, I just had to say something! See? Spelling does count!

That made for a great story! My daughter is looking for a stylist job right now and I am going to tell her about this contest! And, I will have her double check the spelling! LOL! What an encounter, too! sam

Re:
Well, FSI, like I wrote, that typo should have gotten me a free hair cut!

I've seen a few typos in my day slip on by for a bit...I'm one of the few men who goes to a particular salon.

Re: It would have been great if you had thought to tell the hairdresser
Maybe, Kabu. Lord knows, with the money I have spent there over the past ten years, I may have been due for a "freebie" anyway!

Re: Then again, assuming they're older and wiser,
Thanks, Pat B. Yeah, these ladies may have anticipated something like that, but like I wrote, I wouldn't have held them responsible for their misspelled word anyway. But, I'll never know!

It would have been great if you had thought to tell the hairdresser
she may have given you a free haircut.

Then again, assuming they're older and wiser,
the ladies may have anticipated your ploy. It would be interesting to test the theory. I like this story -- well told!
