Re: JimmyA

Well, unfortunately Wiley, it's already too late for that, although I would have loved to have seen that! At this point, I would just be happy for them to get the Conference championships, whether it takes five, six or seven games. And I also don't care if the score of each game is 2-1 or 8-7! Just win!

Re: an interesting take on predictions!

To me, Straight, the main thing is simply the unpredictability of sports in general. I'm sure that writer's editor told him to create that particular piece, and I'm sure he thought he had weighed all of the factors in making his predictions, but I really wonder what he's thinking now knowing that he got seven out of eight wrong! Maybe he'll tell his bosses to ask someone else to do that next time around!

Re:

That's true, Kabu. Ottawa and Vancouver were the only two Canadian teams to make the playoffs, and both were eliminated in the first round. I hope Wiley's instincts are correct!

Re:

In a way they are, Bright. Simply bet against everything he bets on!

I have stopped watching  predictions schmichen  there are no Canucks left to cheer for.

Good luck for your Rangers. They tossed out the Senators, but is was a good series and Wiley says that they could win the cup!!!!

That guy's predictions are surely not a safe bet!

Re:

Me neither, FSI, unless I was absolutely sure that everything he predicted was wrong. Then I would go just to bet on the opposite of everything he bets on!

Re:

Well, Sam, I would be surprised too, but I would be even more disappointed! They've had a terrific season thus far, but struggled just a bit too much against Ottawa. Washington is gonna make it tough!

I wouldn't want to go with the guy to Vegas.

When it comes to the playoffs, it's all about desire for me! The Coyote's are taking care of Nashville like they did to Detroit! Some of the 'predictors' had Nashville taking the Cup but I don't see them getting out of this series. The Coyotes smell blood so to speak! I think the Rangers are one of the most complete teams in hockey and I would be surprised if they didn't make it to the finals! sam
