It is amazing what animals can do! These distances are so incredible and yet they knew how to do it! Amazing is what keeps coming to mind! sam

I know, Kabu, I know. Our little Riki is extremely jealous of the three sibling cats ( Sheila, Lily and Smokey ) and growls ferociously for attention from both my wife and myself. A pet's dedication is apparently second to none!

Re:

That's okay, Bright. One can never really get "carried away" with kitty tales! I hope that little cat is doing better now!

absolutely true. Mr. Graysome really loves us and gets just as jealous as a dog when people take our attention away from him.

Kitty 3 Hi .. I really enjoyed this post! My neighbors had a cat that they brought from Palestine. It's my understanding the poor little animal was badly treated and scared to leave the house unless accompanied by a owner. I couldn't even tempt her to cross into my yard with Tuna. One evening Mary (owner) was visiting wit me and we were completely shocked to find the kitty was scratching at my door to have her come home. Sorry .. I got carried away with that little story.

Re:

I guess, luster, that you can't compare 400 miles to 1,500, but if a cat's gonna do what a cat's gonna do . . . No, you're better off not letting them out of your sight. They do have a mind of their own sometimes!

Re:

Me too, Mariss. My wife and I have four, each with their own little personalities. They are so much fun, and make my wife very, very happy. And that's all that matters to me!

Re:

And I'll bet, FSI, that you probably won't read too many stories about people walking such distances either, regardless of what's at the end of the line!

Perhaps, Kabu. I haven't come across any similar stories concerning dogs, but I'm sure they're out there. Either way, a pet's loyalty can never be questioned, true?

See, Troosha? It's probably better than anything mechanical that we can come up with!

that is one reason I dont let my cat out of my sight, I was afraid she would go back home, its only about 4 hundred miles.  You wonder where it is they travel to get to there destinations.

Truly awesome.  They are good creatures in their own respect; I have always liked them.

I wouldn’t have though a cat’s inner “GPS” was quite that good….
