Re: Meetings?

Yes there are meetings here but he wouldn't admit that he was an alcoholic and really, after getting sick the other day, he finally came to his senses and realized that he "was" drinking too much and so he drank one a couple of days ago but is really cutting back so maybe the kick in the behind helped!! What's so bad is that his oldest brother drank like your husband and suffered a stroke and is now in the nursing home; paralyzed on one side and he can't seem to realize he could end up just like his brother!!! Glad your husband is doing much better.

Between your husband and mine, God's hands have been busy lately. It is difficult living with an alcoholic. When mine blacked out in the bathtub and had seizures, God told me it was time. I kicked him out and told him I was not going to watch him kill himself. He was gone for several weeks drinking a half gallon of vodka a day. He blacked out at work and was taken to the hospital. I thank God every day that he agreed to go to a rehab facility, but I also pray every night that he continues to get better. And I go to Alanon. Are there any meetings where you are? It really would help you. God bless.

He was hopelessly dehydrated and feeling so sick was all self inflicted.

one gets so tired from the games being played. I am so sorry for you but it does seem that leaving him to God is the way to work.
