I dont think anything could be done to him, there is freedom of speech but in his case he shouldnt of been allowed to have that privelage with an ignorant statement like that.

Very sad, offensive, and narrow minded I found his comments to be to say the least. Unfortunately, that's putting it nicely. Here is to hoping that he has learned better in the years since.

what a shame for anyone to feel this way about any one else...to put
a group into a box like this and close his mind on them. Down Syndrome people are special and I have always felt blessed and privileged to know and work with them. Good post dear friend.

It can be very difficult for some people to be accepting of others! I think one of the big problems is that folks don't take the time to get to know someone who is much different than they are! I had a Downs Syndrome individual work in my office while she was in high school and I will tell you that she was the most reliable of all the student helpers I had while in the business! sam
