Definitely marriage matters. It is worth making the committment and then working at making it the best it can be for the rest of life.

Like you I believe that marriage matters and that you will find that someone. As the old saying goes, he'll come when you least expect it.

Re:
I completely agree that marriage is a beautiful committment to one another. However, there are bumps along the way. The committment part is so important as it does keep you from walking away when things get rough. My husband is home from rehab. If we did not have a genuine love, respect, and committment for one another this huge bump in the road could have torn us apart but instead it has caused us to recommit to each other, our children, and beautiful grandchildren.

Absolutely marriage matters! I was what one might describe as a "late-comer" to matrimony. I did not meet my wife until I was 40, but she has been well worth the wait. She is very kind, gentle, passionate and compassionate, and our bond has been incredible. Some people don't seem to realize that marriage means a union, a merger, an alliance of two individuals to become one in thought, emotion and support for one another. My wife and I are now partners, lovers and best friends, and there is absolutely nothing I wouldn't do for her! It's a beautiful thing!
