No thanks, WIley,
The last thing I need right now is a jewel collector.

Alas, Justi
Sometimes it's better to fold your cards and walk away, which is what has happened for my son. The rug rats will be okay - we're all working hard that the change be as easy for them as possible. They are happier already just seeing their much loved daddy back to his smiling, singing self.

Re: Adnohr, I wish I could roll with the ups & downs as you do and still
Pat - you DO deal with the ups & downs; maybe not the same as mine, but some type of roller coaster is there for us all. I am so proud of my kids; they all have huge hearts, and the guts to back it up! Your kids sound the same. I love you too.

Re: Re: My life seems to have gone back a few decades, Kabu, LOL!
So right about the gopher - it is his territory being invaded, after all. I feel the same way about the animals around here - hate to see one hurt, whether they are a nuisance or not. They were here first, so we must learn to live together.

This post covers a lot of ground and all of it appears to be tilled to perfection. The little sweet couple downstairs are in temporary pain. This separation is what I hate for military but more one never knows when they may not return, we expect Fred home again as planned. The rug-rats parents hopefully will look at this not as a negotiation based on feelings but on a full range of things now that there are rug rats. Your doggies are just fantastic at adjusting every time there is a change they go through a whirlwind of newness and like their human mom they bounce back...Are they smiling I know you are. I so admire your resiliency. Smiling back atcha...

Adnohr, I wish I could roll with the ups & downs as you do and still
keep my equilibrium - Reads like your kids are following your example, dealing honestly with others, making the best of it. Love you.

Oh my, the list would be shorter for books I won't read!
I like everything except maybe fluffy Harlequin romances of days gone by. I even read manuals for fixing things, LOL!
But today it was one called Anticosti Island QC. Canada, written by none other than our own Wiley!!

As always, that sounds good. Just out of curiosity, which book constitutes a "good book" for you?

That's right, FSI
And I'll be one of those adults dancing down the store's school-supply aisle singing "It's the most wonderful day of the year..."

My life seems to have gone back a few decades, Kabu, LOL!
Yep - am loving it, just not the circumstances behind it. Still raining here too...and cooling off.

It's good that you are able to adjust to all of the changes quickly...Before they all know it, it'll be September.

It seems that your life has really changed and you are going to get worn to
the bone and love every minute of your new life. I am in awe of how if we place our trust in our God just how our life works. It was right for you to bring your office home, and to have that period of trtreating into yourself to grieve. Now you are ready for the work, the fun, the love and support etc. yes we have had some heavy rain. so am smiling back attcha across in those hills.

Adnohr you could do a series on the tele . We would have to change your moniker and bring a a bit of love life into the scene perhaps two handsome rivals which you hold in suspense, I tnink the setting is perfect,
