Unfortunately, the story itself is common enough - many of us have had similar experiences in our lives. What makes it really stand out and touch our hearts is the way you tell it, UtahJay. Formidable writing!

Beautiful expression of a horribly traumatic time. It's a weakness in our culture that the hurt are singled out for more pain rather than nurtured and healed.
