Goodness me, one doesn't need to turn on the tv to be embroiled in
depression and violence. How aweful.

I'm glad that no one was injured...This truly is close to home.

It is always a shock when the peace is shattered with the sound of gunfire, even in the old neighborhood where I grew up where this sort of thing was expected.

The unfortunate reality we all have to face is that, those shootings we hear or read about from time to time could happen anywhere! It's almost impossible to be prepared for such events!

Actually, it was better than watching TV. And, it kept Son #1 occupied so he wasn't talking my leg off continuously. He's quite a talker, especially when I'm trying to do something on computer, or when I'm trying to read something good.

It's not good when breaking news happens in your front yard...
I hope the sad guy will feel better and the crime scene tape is gone by dawn.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear of anyone being so despondent that they will do harm to themselves or to another. It happens all the time but never with a positive result. Even the best neighborhoods have lemons, but a little sugar water makes it lemonade. I will pray for him, God knows who lives all around our TAPS.
