Absolutely. Apparently there were points in history where this was thought to happen during peace time when Knights were seekign to make a name for themselves. Of course I am not sure how accurate my source is :D

thanks Bob, it's a little disjointed, I think, because of the original vision behind it, I was attempting to form a sort of poetric triptych with a rough narative flow: the first image is the ambitious man, the second is the beautiful woman and the third is a pastoral scene with the man and woman in a simple happy setting, sort of showing that he had given up wealth and glory for something more simple and more profound. Putting a charger before the cart that carried them both was meant to symbolise the knight's change of focus.

You really had me, up to stanza three. I don't understand it or
