It is terrible how our Vietnam troops were treated back then. My heart continues to ache for them.

I am so happy you are putting together this book. Yes I remember both times. Your poetry is wonderful. God bless you!

How I hated that war....Australia was there as well.....While I danced

the night away and worried about broken hearts and stuff, boys my age and younger were dying and if not dying they were changing forever in a place they should never have been. I never ever agreed with blaming the troops for being there or for what happened. My heart broke when they came back and were bewildered at out small lives just continuing, nothing changed, but don't talk to us about where you been or what you done.

In 1985 one cold December evening I walked the Wall in Washington , my hand running along the names, tears i couldn't stop. These were may peer group and they died in a most inglorious fight. not fair to have sent them not fair to have dishonoured their return.

A lot of pain and resentment in that well written poetry, and your psyche can only get more healthy every time you write the injustice down. Get this book published my friend..

It was such a sad war, especially for the men fighting in it. No feelings of victory, being sent over there against the people's wishes, so no cheer in the homecoming. I can remember protesting it too, but you must realize that we were not protesting against you, the soldiers, but against the conspiracy of the machine who sent you there. I can imagine how hurt you felt - but what could your brothers do, really?

I supported out troops then and I do now! It was a sad time for the Vietnam vet no doubt! My ex never got beyond it and it took away the very fabric of his life in so many ways! I believe your book will help many folks, too! sam
