So true, Sam. What is that saying?
Nobody ever said Life is easy, just that it's worth it!

Actually, Wiley - I think they are doing me more good
than I can ever do for them. They are the figurative 'kick on the butt' I needed to pull me back up again. The Lord works in mysterious ways - whatever happens to each of us, you can be sure there is a good reason behind it! Hugs, bro!

LOL, Kabu -
I am now telling the date by school activities...what a whirlwind! But you are right - it's laughter and love and kids and dogs...and soon a cat too. I believe you are fibbing though - I can only see you as an excellent, playful grandma!!

Thank you, dear Justi!
Both grandparents and parents often have to play things by ear, and hope that we are doing the right thing. Our efforts, when successful, are paid back with lotsa smiles and love. Worth every minute of it!!

LOL, Naut - that little doggie can hold his own,
as my rambunctous Smooch found out very quickly!!
I think many of us have lived through seperations - having a faithful, loving pet to hang onto at those times makes things so much easier!

He is a sensitive child, CCT, and being the eldest, more is expected of him
The 2 youngest look up to him too, so tend to feel slightly ill at ease when he's dancing on the wrong foot, but respect him too much to tease him about it....so far. Yes - it's a shock the first time we learn our parents are not super beings, but human, isn't it?

Geez - I find I am less reserved as I get older, LOL! That's not always a good thing, say my kids.

I hope so, TAPS, mostly that we're giving them a strong foundation
to handle whatever the world will throw at them.

I've become a kid again - how could one ask for anything more?

I think more people cold benefit from the forgiving nature of the beasts. Reconciliation is looking good...thank you for reading!

I love those moments at the end of the day when we all just smile at each other in such a comfortable way as love allows.

Nice work, Adnohr! We never know but when it comes out great then all's well that ends well! I feel bad for him, but no one every said life was going to be a piece of cake, we just need to keep the crumbs from piling up as they learn their life's lessons! sam

You just amaze me with your ability to pick all that life up again and deal with it. I had a hard enough time making one family work, and as a grandparent God arranged things that move me out of the picture and I'm grateful. You are wonderful. God Bless you sis.

you are superb and i take my hat off and bow to you. I don't see me
being that much of the expert with all this. I can see into the future a house full of laughter and love and kids and dogs and no time at all for you to know what year it is anymore let alone what month.

Not all kids are granted such abundance of understanding and love--
Whatever their tribulations growing up, they'll be okay because they have a firm foundation in love.

I believe this may be the best post I have ever read. You are a very wise woman. I so wish parents knew as well how to manage children sometimes and grand parents do. But certainly not all grandparents are up to your standards. This post blessed me so. Thank you.

What a beautiful child, and the doggie is very cute! And you've handled the situation admirably. I feel so sorry for him - I was once where he is now, but he has you, and I know he'll be alright in the end, no longer needing to throw rocks...

Yes I remember that film now you bring it to mind Adnohr . He seems a sensitive little boy the others are probably two young to empathise with him but I seem to remember at that age that people seemed to do things that seemed strange, I remember my Dad told a deliberate lie and I was horrified. You handle things so well, I can imagine a different outcome.

I'll say it one more time - those rug rats are lucky to have you (and vice versa). And the four-leggeds, too.

What a great ending to a somewhat heart wrenching and rock filled day! I hope reconcilliation is in the future for your lovely family and isn't it wonderful that animals can change the whole attitude of our circumstances? Thanks for sharing.
