Thanks for the hug. I was looking for a way to describe the unutterable
pain when I wrote it. And writing about it seemed to be therapeutic; seemed to be some kind of release when placed on the paper. Most of my stuff I edit and rewrite quite often and I have a lot of fun with each attempt, but this poem has always been left alone since I first wrote it. I can't handle it anymore.

Jackleen was my granddaughter who died when she was a few hours old.
I was allowed to hold her for a little while before they took her to autopsy and cut her into little pieces to determine her death. It was traumatic. I never got over it. Obviously. Years later, I still write about her.
