You are quite interesting Teach, I might even begin to like your articles although they are a little highbrow for me and I was brought up On HOT dames on Cold Slabs. I wish I could remember the author. I even walked into a large book shop when I was a conscript and asked for the books by name. I just received a look of disdain.

Most of us in Kentucky are wonderful people.....we slowly send the lessers to Iowa where things grow in nice straight rows.
Just kidding...... I loved comic books and I had a wonderful collection, a few first issues. the first 10 years of Mad magazine sealed in the special plastic bags...all of which were ruined when field mice found them in the attic above the garage.....
It appears your friend is selling well......good for him.

I checked them out - wow - definitely way up from the comic books we used to read! They are on my reading list now. Liked the note about the field coffee-pot. Compact!

I've been through Kentucky a few times, love the Derby, the race horse
culture, and people I've met from that state have all been warm and friendly. I hope your friend is very successful. I used to collect comic books - if I had the ones that were stacked in our closet in 1952, I'd have some serious money to leave my kids. At the time we paid a dime for a Superman or The Hulk.

When I saw the subject title, I thought you were talking about yourself.
Well, anyway having a friend doing such is second best, and great.
