Thank you, Justi. Mommy is working in the mornings.
Her shift either starts before the boys have to leave for school, or she finishes after the boys leave for school. She is always there for their arrival at home after school though, and that's good. Maybe a relief for the boys too, LOL!

So true, CCT. Mothers with that many children had no time to coddle.
And today, unfortunately, coddling has often pushed discipline completely aside. Fear is not good; respect is mandatory.

Nope - we were not sleeping, Kabu!
But Mommy was wise - they were allowed to choose 2 candies each and a small bag of chips when the run was over. Tomorrow they have the same thing going, and the next day, and the next... Spreading out the sugar buzz!!

Oh what little cuties
You are giving some good executive training to the leader of the pack. You do such a good job. Where is Mommy on the early morning trek? I love reading your stories of the little ones.

Cute costumes there...Reading this reminds me of when I was little and did not understand time. Before you know it, it'll be tough to get them up at 6.

Quite the little act you have going there Adnohr, I don't think we as kids would have argued with our mother though, I think it just shows how soft parents have become in regard to discipline, here we think you are being firm and you are in a clever way. I suppose discipline was enforced by threats and fear in the olden days, but then most families had eight or ten children and one could not spare the rod.Or the poor mother was so worn out with child bearing that the kids had to drag themselves up.

I loved this. And I know those boys are going to grow up great...
You're working with good material there. Handsome, too, in spite of the scary makeup.

You did good Grandma, and they are a fine looking trio. Sorry about my poem, but it is a true story of Mary Shelly. I post it every Halloween in one form or another. But remember I'm a cat person who loves my kitties...Just thought it was scary, as true stories sometimes can be. The other one came to me on my way to see my counselor at the clinic, she is a good kid. I listened to the Doors on the way to the city and to Leonard Cohen on the way back home sooo.

After reading this, it occurred to me that there's a new career waiting for you - you should give courses in proper grand/mothering! This country needs such a course, and it would be a roaring success...

what a most amazing Grandmother you are. So wise and patient!!!!!
Those children are so blessed to have you and how they love you for the boundaries that you set. sure, they try your boundaries but they feel so safe and loved because they know you care enough to ensure they understand what they can do and what they won't get away with.
I hope that you are all asleep by now and not having had too much candy!!!!
