I've tried to early to bed thing too, Simone.

If fact, I have more than one book on sleeping problems. I still only sleep in spurts. But yep - that time with no imterruptuons is heaven!

LOL - nightcaps do help on occasion, Nautikos.

My doggies are used to me. They don't hardly move until I've had at least one coffee, whatever time I get up. Of course, they are mostly keeping the same hours as their mistress....

Yep - I enjoy the peace, bro.

Too darned tired to be getting upset anymore.

I'm usually not sleeping at that time, Sam.

More like Utah, I sleep maybe 3 hours on, 3 hours off...

I enjoy my nights too, Kabu, and have learned to chill out from the

worry about not being awake the next day. It used to drive me insane, LOL, but not anymore!

Do you have any trouble sleeping, FSI?

Ah yes - those wonderful 8 hour nights!! On top of the world in the morning

That will happen now and then too, BC-A

I can fall to sleep in front of my computer...but it never lasts long.

I'm usually up early in the morning too, JimmyA:

Many times because I haven't been sleeping. I have certainly seen my share of beautiful sunrises!

I agree, Pat_B, but then I sleep for 30 minutes

and the voices wake me up again. Soft music does help for power naps!

You did not succeed in your mission,CCT

I am not at all sleepy. Are you a friend of Morpheus??

I've always been like that too, Justi

And I used to get so frustrated because I knew I had to be up the next morning. No more...even if I'm still working, I just take it as it comes.

Like you I love to be awake at nights... I find that silence you cherish is very conducive to thought and at that late hour there are no interruptions... but I also love to be up early... watching the sun come up from the shore is a treat and even if I can not get there I find my days are so much more productive if I wake up before he shines through my windows :-)  Now it is difficult  to do both those things, and as time goes by I find that sleeping 4 or 5 hours a day does not do the job for me.  So, I begrudgingly force myself to go to bed earlier and as you lay there awake until I finally give up and get going... :-) Writing does flow better at night...Be well sweetie... and keep sharing those smiles with us xoxoxo

I find that my days and nights are changing with the seasons, LOL. In the summer I like to get up early and go to bed late, in winter I like to sleep in (rarely possible because of the doggie and other duties) and go to bed 'relatively' early. One of my problems is that I always read before I go sleep, which at times keeps me awake for hours. Sometimes a 'nightcap' helps, LOL...

Well I have to tell you I love being able to sleep anytime at all, and I remember the hard times where I had to earn a living too. Good to read you surviving with some peace though.

I am not a middle of the night person, but I do love the early morning! Have been getting up at 4am for years and years! sam

I love to read till late or watch a late movie on TV...sometimes the only

TV worth watching comes on late. Sometimes it is 3-4 am before I am asleep. Then I sleep away the morning. Yes, I too am smelling the roses and smiling back to you and loving life.

Busy at midnight, I see...As for me, I am sleeping or trying to sleep.

I too have a hard time with sleep and I have sleep apnea on top of it. I find if I can get 3 hours of sleep in that I am fine and I just love the days when I sleep 8 or more hours...Its like a mini miracle.

CAlso, does anyone else get the computer blahs of drowsiness and feeling “high” after typing love? I guess that it's similiar to jet lag. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

I am so routine-oriented right now, that I can't imagine myself being wide awake in the middle of the night. However, I do enjoy getting up very early in the morning ( after a good night's sleep of course ) and taking in the peace and quiet of the approaching dawn. And finding things to occupy yourself at those moments is a heck of a lot better than just sitting and staring at the walls!

I find it's easier to fall asleep if there's a talk show or lecture

on financial planning - some infomercial - going. Most of it is so much oatmeal and totally bores the wakey wakey right out of me.

Hm, I am just the opposite I can sleep anytime, especially whilst doing things I don't want to do. Or things I do want to do, but cannot be bothered to do. The opposite to you. Not very commendable. I just was trying to make you feel sleepy.

I share some of that. It did not restrict itself to these later days when I did not have to meet deadlines. I have always been that way. I am blessed now that I can sleep when I want without too much restriction. It appears you have it worked out pretty well.
