LOL - cats want ALL your attention, UtahJay! Computers don't fit in.
The kitty isn't mine; she lives downstairs with my grandson and his GF. She loves to come up here and join us, but she's a little minx when she gets into my plants!!!

It sis, and I did see the game, Bro!
And what a game!! Markov is back in full colour!! I'll only feel totally 'powerless' if I run out of wood.

One gets used to it,Sam. The price for good living in the bush!
If the water pump would work, it would hardly bother me at all. GO HABS!! GO WINGS!!!

Oh yeh - loved that HABS-CAPS game!!!
It's actually very relaxing with no electricity, just the wood fires burning, surrounded by my beasts. For short periods...

My area is known for power shortage, Kabu.
All those trees, and the ancient line coming down through the mountains, the line that was supposed to be fixed oh so many years ago....and yep - doggies are wherever I am.

I've done the same, crawl into bed for warmth, TAPS
Sometimes the bones feel so chilled... but I find wood heat is more comfortable than electric or oil. I keep my wood fires going all winter anyway, power or not. It saves on the bill. But when there is no power at all, it means getting up every 2 to 3 hours to keep the fires going...a drag.

The 98 Ice Storm was the worst, FSI. 3 weeks without power!!
I hope your luck continues to hold out!

Wow, Nautikos - no snow? Then colder seems much colder that way, somehow.
Yep - used to no power here. A mosquito lands on the wire and poof! Actually, so many trees, with heavy laden branches, etc. I have to get a push button generator, or start lifting weights so I can pull the cord on the one I have...

CCT - I'll put up a picture of the snow here...no little bushes poking out
heads...they are covered in deep, white stuff too! My rathers are for cold than heat - I wouldn't want to live in India. When we get old we surround ourselves with sweet young things to do the duties and keep us warm!

Yep - it's COLD!!! But it's a real Canadian winter, and I love it.
As long as my pipes don't freeze. And it would be nicer with power.

Yes, sorry about you lighs and power and I hope they stay on this time. Your little kitty looks a lot like my Crybe cat who is sitting on my lap as I type. She thinks she is my spell check.

My goodness, I have no idea how you deal without power! I don't think I could handle it! For years we had a wood stove in Michigan and I relish the fact that I don't get up every three hours to stoke it but I admire that you do! Great win tonight, too! GO HABS! sam

It's a shame sometimes when heat becomes a commodity! But you're obviously doing all you can. And hey, sharing the warmth with the animals usually works too! Enjoy your Habs-Caps game!

we had the propane tank filled yesterday just in case.
We don't seem to get the number or length of power outages here as you do. Keep those doggies close.

I am thankful for alternative heat even though it is seldom needed here. Actually, I'm thankful for any heat at all as I don't like to be cold and have been known to crawl into bed in the middle of the day just because I had a sudden chill. LOL

Talk about a bad time to have lost electricity! I've been very fortunate at all of the houses that I have lived at when it comes to the power.

Oh boy, I admire the way you cope under those conditions! I guess one learns to live with those problems if one has to! And it's a good thing you don't mind the snow - even CCT appears to have his share! I'm glad to be able to report that we have absolutely none right now...

Oh, dear Adnohr
What is the fascination I wonder, surely there
are warmer outlandish places.
I just wonder when one becomes older
what happens does one sit and freeze to death?
Do you really need snow to stimulate your life.
Perhaps it is me not emphasizing with your resilient
sweet nature. Yes I had better be a bit more gracious
I don't particularly want a metaphorical clout round the ear.
Arthur goes mad if I leave the door open for two minutes.

Wow, you're pioneering out there... brrrrr.
guess I'll quit whining about getting chilled on my way to the car (23 steps or so) on my way to the store, or out to the bird feeder.
