- Go to Updating my Dolphin poem... I now have a link to the movie...
Re:
No I mean't your poem , don't be so suspicious of my motives, I could see the poor old Dolphin was stressed, I don't think a tiger would have shown the same response. The diver should be knighted. All right I forgive you.

Thanks for the explanation! It makes sense now and nice work! I have a bit of an understanding on how you write so it will help me tremendously! sam

THANK you, Sam. So refreshing to get an honest response!
I know I don't always make sense, but I try!
I was trying (and I guess not succeeding very well) to talk about the relationship between man and nature and how I feel there is more to this mystery; this 'relationship' (this deep, inexpressible love between the two).
Some dogs I have known seem to have a sixth sense about humans they are close to and seem on the verge of speaking with their eyes and their body. This seems to be exhibited so well via the trust the dolphin shows, here, for the diver in this particular instance. How, why is this mammal able to communicate with us so well? And if I had to compare it with what I know of "god" from my human standpoint and its limitless expansiveness, would not the mammal also see us (man), in the same way, from his vantage point in the same huge expanse of the ocean as some 'god'?
Thanks for listening.

Forgive me, but I am not understanding what you are trying to convey with this poem! I have read it several times and it just seems that form is more important than the overall imagery! sam

Yes, but is more difficult than a sonnet, Jay.

Clever, manipulation. A pity dolphins do not have legs, they would make a good pet.
