So the 7 stars are a reference to Greek Mythology and the reason
the poem has 7 syllables in 7 lines.

Greek Mythology The seven daughters of Atlas (Maia, Electra, Celaeno, Taygeta, Merope, Alcyone, and Sterope), who were metamorphosed into stars.

Oh I really like this. Sorry that I have not read as of late. While in Denver I had to borrow a computer and I only used it to post with as time was at a premium. I will get caught up though.
