I love this post, it said so very much in so few words. I learned a lot and yet when I look at that word I can see how I could surely mess it up so unforgivably. I am so happy for you and you know it will be very soon now. Be happy and enjoy it.

That does sound like a big leap from your "comfort zone," but sometimes it can be an adventure! Hope you enjoy that trip! And don't forget to practice bowing a lot!

That's fantastic! Can I carry your suitcases? Oh, and the Japanese Blogger is Kaboom62, her name is Karen Bremer (maybe a very distant relative, LOL) Masuda. I even have her email address and shall send it tomorrow, since it's in my PC, and I'm on my laptop and in bed, LOL. I forget the name of her city, but it's very close to Fuji san! She has a great view of it from her balcony...

Just because you asked, I can't remember our blogger from Japan. But, when I do, and it will come to me when I'm not trying so hard to think of it, I will comment again.
How fun that you are going.

I'd sit down and watch SHOGUN again...
marvelous novel and miniseries, and a little bit of Japanese language learning.

Well actually, most of the flight is over shark infested water, or it was the last time I went, but you know those military flights. You will just love it there. These are the nicest people on earth. I miss it so much. How wonderful for you. I do hope you will stop in and visit us from time to time, and please take lots of pictures. How exciting.
