Nice post.  I too love afternoon naps if I seem sleepy.  I don't fight it anymore.  LOL

Cold but sunny in the neck of the woods and I have a bad back again so I have to stay quiet.

Oh it sounds beautiful... I am glad you enjoyed your day and if tomorrow its beautiful again , what the heck!  enjoy my friend... things will get done ... they are not going anywhere... Doesn't all that pure air and excercise help with the insomnia?  It usually does help me when I do some extra walking by the shore... ... Good luck sweetie  xoxoxo

The difference between dogs and cats, Kabu

Grump goes out on his own, but I still can't trust Smooch to stay in the yard, so have to go out with him, cold, wet, or otherwise.

Well at least I don't have pain to endure besides insomnia, Naut,

So can count myself ahead of the game!

I wish I could say the same, CCT

I seem to sleep less as I get older, darn it!

I've had them all my life, Sam.

I just find it more difficult as I get older.

Ah yes - I can be some grumpy, FSI.

With the work I do, my brain needs to be alert. It can be frustrating when I'm too tired to work, but too awake to sleep.

No wonder, JimmyA!

I like wind, but have never experienced a hurricane. I imagine I'd feel the same as you and your wife.

We're having that kind of day today, and Bennie and I played ball for about 1/2 hour on the tennis court, until it got too chilly for me. And I certainly don't envy your bouts of insomnia! I used to have those occasionally after I had busted my shoulder a couple of years ago and used to wake up sometimes in the middle of the night, having rolled onto it - ouch and yikes! But it's all perfect again now...

Oh dear Adnohr what a pain, I remember being like that reading in the night making tea and in those days did not have time to sleep in the day. Now I go to bed early, get up early and can sleep on a clothes line. But that is old age with a few of its benefits.

I hope it is the cure! I have bouts with insomnia but not to the extent that you do! sam

While I do not find myself snoozing during the day on account of a lack of sleep, I do find like you it effects my mood.

Thanks for the smiles!  Yeah, the weather has gotten a little better over here as well, but it's now windy, and ever since Hurricane Sandy, my wife and I have gotten very paranoid about windy days . . . !
