Re: Welcome back, Bob...
Hello again! How did your chemo go? I'm a chemo survivor, too - had pancreatic cancer, but I'm okay now. Thanks for the visit and the kind words.

Welcome back, Bob...
I was away most of last year with colon cancer and a bad reaction to chemotherapy...
My roommate for much of the time has passed on, and as soon as I say "passed on", I question "Where?".....your poem brings a lot of the questions home..

Re: Good 4 you, but it's really not part of the poem either - just a way of
setting up a situation to start the poem outside and then move inside, making an opportunity for the contrasts that follow. (And leading into the MAIN topic - certainty about the afterlife). Thank you for the visit.

That's a tough thing to contemplate. We all have our views of life & death, and for me, nicotine isn't a part of it!

Re: the truth
Thank you. And as Hamlet said, "That's the question". It's also the title. It's always struck me that - if someone ever WERE to really come back from the grave and tell us what he or she saw, no matter how unimportant or unintelligent they may have been in life - their report would change history and the way we live. Of course, if there is no afterlife, he or she would have no place to come back from, would simply not exist, not be. It's worth the question.
